"The Hideaway Cottage Retreat was absolutely A1 we couldn't fault a thing. It was just like walkng in to our own home so beautifully decorated, the kitchen had everything appliance we needed to cook and cater for our stay, the beds were very comfortable with beautiful linens and a huge cupboard of thick bath towels (not just 1 each and hope they dry), beautiful thick bath robes, a cupboard of games a trampoline and bush swing to keep the kids entertained. The owners lit us a fire while we were out to keep the cottage warm and had dry wood in a basket at the door for us for during the night. The owners have thought of everything you would possibily need for a very peaceful and relaxing stay - congratulations 10/10 - we will be back and so will our friends - and thanks TakeABreak for allowing us to find this little piece of heaven"

"Sorry this is late! again!! Things get so hectic when you get back from holidays, things tend to get away from you. We could not appreciate our stay enough, thats why we keep coming back!!! I'm not going to spoil it for anyone but you must visit the Hide Away Cottage and all it's wonderful surprises it has in store for you. Not to mention the hosts will be the best you've ever met, the little touches they create each visit add homeyness and tranquility that you never want to leave. I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere that makes you feel like your not away from the comforts of your own home and surroundings. I know I'm usually relieved to be home from holidays but we were so sad to leave we didn't want to go back home. We are still looking for work over there so you never know one day we might just get back there permanently, if not we would love to see you again soon when we can get more holidays. "My apologies for taking so long to reply to this feedback but I wanted to have something really inspiring to say about the cottage. Left me speechless- truly breathtaking. It would take far too long for me to write all the good things about it. To mention all the words to describe how the whole place made us feel would be impossible!!!!! ;) Winsome & Bill did so much for us in preparation of our arrival (I won’t spoil the surprises.) The property was the most extraordinary place we have been to ever!!!!!! Overwhelming to think of the effort they must go through in running such a beautifully set-up, well thought out cosy place. We wished we could have stayed there forever. We would have been pleased even if we could have just stayed another night or two but we already had pre-booked accommodation for our remaining 3 nights. Unfortunately we had to reluctantly move on and say goodbye to the only place that has felt as comfortable as home in our travels. We are hoping to come back down in November this year and stay a week this time. I just have to organise the expenses but I’ll be booking very soon.

"We stayed at Hide-away cottage from 27.12.06 till 01.01.07. It was the great place to stay. Accommodation is just 5+, service is not less. We enjoyed every minute being in the house and out. The furniture, dishes, beds, music - everything was fantastic. Kids had a ball playing outside on the playground and jumping on the trampoline or playing with the dog. We had a ball having a cup of coffee in the beds of flowers outside or just having relaxing spa. The owners even had a photo of the property with our name on it, which we forgot to take with us. They sent it to our home address. That was very surprising. Thank you very much for that. Now that photo stands on our desk and reminds us about our great holiday in Tasmania. If you are going in Tasmania or just want to visit the Burnie area, I strongly recommend Hide-away Cottage to anyone. "Linda and I spent 3 wonderful weeks touring Tassie and it wasn't long enough.
