Sue and Derek, what can we say, we arrived here on the 22.4.2010 stayed a few days then went to Stanley and then went to Penguin to stay at these places, you made your place our home away from home, your hospitality and your friendship made our trip to Tassie the most enjoyable holiday possible. Sue your soup and bread was fantastic and most enjoyable and Patches made us feel welcome. Derek Chris enjoyed the talks he had with you, its great he had a male to talk to as at home it is an all female domain. When we get back home to Melbourne we will keep in touch. Many thanks. My first impression of the cottage was WOW! It is such a beautiful place, to be able to light the fire on cold days/nights is great. It is such a peaceful place to wind down and so much to see in the area. Sue thank you for the homemade soup yum, we ate if for tea, breakfast and tea again. And Derek thank you for keeping our supply of wood up to us and letting the kids feed the sheep. I hope to come back one day. Thank you from Janet and family Queensland.

Hide-Away Cottage is exactly that - a wonderful quiet place for a sabbatical. Such a peaceful house with all round views of gardens and little birds and the rich smell of rural living. Such a gorgeous, cosy home away from home. We enjoyed our stay here at Hide-Away and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family. The kids had a wonderful time with all their games, playground, "the tree swing especially" and the highlight of feeding the sheep and a visit from "Patch". Our final day in Tassie has sadly arrived after 5 wonderful weeks - our last family holiday before our eldest flys the nest. This cottage has housed us for our last week - so good when we have saved the best till last. Home now to reality, busyness and work. Pete and Alison and family N.S.W.

Hide-Away Cottage - home away from home, cosy, beautiful, had loads of character, kids loved the sheep. It was lovely to wake up, open the curtains and look out on the open space and trees. A great spot in a wonderful location. The two toddlers loved the slide and trampoline (plus the stairs!) We loved the kitchen and washing machine! Three platypus sightings, splended wrens, wedge tailed eagles, sheep, cows, alpacas all within ten minutes drive is a true winner! Good luck with it all and you may well see us again.
